How the fee works
Most matters are a fixed fee agreed in writing after the free consultation. Where the work cannot be fixed, I give you an estimate and a cap, and I tell you before either is reached.

It depends on whether it is agreed. An uncontested divorce is often finished in a few months. A contested one takes longer, and I will give you a realistic range at the consultation.
